GERMANICUS
The famous Roman military leader Germanicus (15 B.C.-19.A.D.) was the grandson of Mare Anthony, adopted son of the emperor Tiberius, brother and father-in-law of the emperor Claudius, husband of Agrippina the Older (granddaughter of Octavian Augustus), father of nine children, some of them being Caligula, Agrippina the Younger, Livilla and Drusilla, as well as the grandfather of the emperor Nero. He is especially interesting for us since his legions crushed the Illyrian upheaval that lasted from 6 A.D. to 9 A.D. and thus conquered this area and made it part of the Roman Empire.
